An armed man who allegedly fired a gun and tried to enter a Jewish school in Memphis is in critical condition after an officer shot him during a traffic stop, police said. Shortly after noon on Monday, the Memphis Police Department received a call about an unidentified White man who reportedly fired his handgun outside the Margolin Hebrew Academy, police said in a statement. No one was injured in the incident, police said. "Thankfully, that school had a great safety procedure and process in place and avoided anyone being harmed or injured at that scene," Assistant Police Chief Don Crowe said, the Associated Press reported.
